Our Story
A deep passion for wine has always run through family tradition and business for co-founder Uros Stojanovic, whose journey began at the heart of Slovenia's vibrant wine scene.
Uros's early introduction to the industry came through the family business, organizing some of Slovenia’s most popular wine events. These years were spent learning about the unique qualities and fast-evolving landscape of local viticulture, fostering a belief in the future of Slovenian wine that led him to found a successful festival of his own.
He began writing a new story with a younger generation of Slovenian producers—winemakers who honor ancestral knowledge while embracing the modern techniques and global trends of today's market. This bridge between heritage and innovation became the cornerstone of his professional philosophy.
The birth of Saffron and Stem was realized through his wife and co-founder Yashvi, whose marketing expertise, roots in India and newfound passion for Slovenian wine provided the spark. Together, they implement their love for high quality, unique Slovenian wines and wine experiences to offer boutique producers a platform in one of the world's most dynamic wine markets.
